EYFS sets the goals for every child’s holistic development which is the main goal of our nursery while using the Reggio Emilia approach provides them with the tools to achieve that.

Reggio Emilia
- Key elements of this approach emphasise a progressive, cooperative and holistic early childhood education for children from birth to 6 years of age.
- The Reggio Emilia Approach emphasises hands- on discovery learning that allows the child to use all their senses and all their languages to learn.
- Children are viewed as competent, curious, full of potential, and interested in connecting to the world around them. They use a hundred languages (different ways of thinking, of discovering, of learning).
- Teachers are cognizant of each child’s potential and construct their work, activities and the environment for the children to respond appropriately. The teachers, parents and children are collaborators in the process of learning. The parent is an essential resource for the child’s learning. We hold special events throughout the school year, to encourage parental participation to foster community development. As parents are every child’s first teacher, we will always keep them involved, informed and updated on learning and progress aspects of their child.
- The environment is the third teacher. Based on the Reggio Emilia approach, the design and features of our nursery are carefully built to create a rich, calm and inspiring environment, to promote holistic development of children. Classroom environment and outdoor learning spaces are both utilized to achieve the learning outcomes. Children will always be given the choice and the chances to develop as the capable individuals they are.

Operation Time
Al Dhafra Private Nursery caters for both working and non-working parents’ requirements. Al Dhafra Private Nursery has the following operation hours:
Working Days of the Week:
• Monday – Friday
Nursery Functioning Hours:
7.30 am – 4.00 pm
We offer different schedule options for parents to choose from.
• 7:30 am - 12:30 pm
• 7:30 am - 2:00 pm
• 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Terms: The Yearly Fees will include 3 Terms excluding both Summer Camp and Winter Camp
- Term 1: September – December
- Term 2: January – March
- Term 3: April – June
- July and August – Summer Camp (Not included in the Yearly Fees)
- December: Winter Camp (Not included in the Yearly Fees)
